Radiant Floor Heating

Radiant floor heating uses warm fluid (usually water) running through PEX tubing embedded in or attached to the floor from underneath to heat a living space. It is a good complement to an outdoor furnace system because both systems work well with building on an insulated slab, providing mass for passive heat storage and a convenient and protected location for the pipes. Mounting underneath an existing wood floor (tiled, carpeted or hardwood) is a simple matter of attaching it to the underside, between the floor joists. The larger the radiating surface, the lower the temperature difference needed to transfer heat, so your whole house becomes a large radiator: quiet, efficient, clean, and best of all, comfortable. With virtually no moving parts, maintenance costs for this system are very low, providing you with years of worry-free heating.

Heat sources can be your own domestic water heater (provided it is large enough to service not only the normal hot water needs of the household, but the additional needs of this system), or one of our outdoor furnaces from Woodmaster. We also carry all the parts, fittings, tubing, Maxx-R insulation and knowledge to get you started in heating with this highly efficient system.
